SensoryCritters.com weighted blankets are created with a special heavy duty cotton weight that has been tested and doesn’t lose weight after being washing day in and day out for years and is sewn directly into the actual blanket to create a safe, weight effective, cost effective, wash and dry proprioception product that does not require removing in order to care for it. The amount of weight when choosing a quilted or weighted blanket is based at 10% of the person’s weight plus 1 pound. Your order will arrive within 3-5 days after we receive payment. Sizes are approximate.
size 50” x 60” can range from 4 -6 pounds please specify when you place your order in the comment section. If you need more than 6 pounds please order our Twin Weighted Blanket.
Guide: Please contact your O.T. to determine the proper size for your purchase. A rule in weighted products: 10% of the body weight plus 1 pound. A person weighing 100 pounds would need a 10 pound blanket plus 1 pound = 11 pound or bigger which is our full size blanket. SensoryCritters.com's owners are not therapists and always suggest speaking with your therapist prior to purchasing. Some times a lighter blanket is needed rather than a heavier one again a reason to contact your O.T.
